Seven-time all-Ireland champion - considered one of the world’s best living Irish button accordion players - John Whelan joins fiddler Dale Russ, who Martin Hayes calls “one of the greatest fiddlers I know in Irish traditional music” and is regarded as “the shining jewel of Northwest fiddle players.” John Whelan just finished a cross country tour this summer, that completed a solo tour he started in 2020 to celebrate 50 years of playing professionally. He has recorded more than 15 CDs, which have sold over one million copies. He is also a sought-after composer and producer. He has written more than 65 original tunes, many of which have been recorded and performed by artists all over the world. Dale Russ has been a mainstay of the Seattle traditional Irish music scene since he moved here in the ‘70s. He has been a member of a number of traditional Irish musical groups. Dale's playing is known for its balance of power and elegance.
